ZANU PF’S BITTER ATTACK ON TEACHERS
If the Herald newspaper were a person, it would be a chronically sad individual. This person would depend on praising Scarfmore for a sense of self-worth. The Herald once praised a breakthrough in relations with the UK, which they called “pink pigs and colonialists”. But now, it has done a complete turn and is attacking teachers. These teachers are treated poorly by the criminal Zanu PF and the illegitimate Scarfmore. They are paid peanuts, their wages are eroded by severe inflation, and their welfare is ignored by Zanu PF and Scarfmore.
Looking at the reality, it is clear that Zanu PF is angry about the UK’s relationship with the suffering teachers. Zanu PF talks about sovereignty as if they understand it fully. But who is really threatening Zimbabwe’s sovereignty? The Chinese, who loot the country’s resources and exploit locals, or the British, who want the best for Zimbabwe through genuine reforms?
Zanu PF complains that the British are interfering with Zimbabwe’s sovereignty, but this is not true. They found out about the UK’s support for teachers on social media. Their intelligence agency, which is ineffective, was unaware of this. The Zanu PF government is unconstitutional and was put into power by a weak and biased military. The judiciary, which should be independent, is loyal to Zanu PF and not to the supreme law of the land.
If Zanu PF thinks the UK’s concern for teachers’ welfare is interference, then what Zanu PF did in Scotland is worse. They recruited students with money to support Zanu PF, spread hate, and tried to destabilize the UK. Zanu PF needs to understand modern politics, where both state and non-state actors like teachers can interact for many reasons, not just regime change.
The Herald’s attack on the relationship between teachers and the UK shows Zanu PF’s envy and bitterness. It reflects their insecurity and paranoia about losing their criminal network. This network plunders wealth and pretends to be the government. Non-governmental organizations and embassies were once seen as threats to Zanu PF. Now, teachers are the new enemy. Zimbabwe is on the brink of collapse as Zanu PF continues to loot and plunder, protected by a biased judiciary and impoverished police.
In conclusion, the situation is a circus. Zanu PF’s attacks on teachers are a sign of their fear of losing power and the wealth they have stolen. The Herald, by supporting Zanu PF, reveals its role in this sad and corrupt system. As Zimbabwe faces severe challenges, the government’s focus on petty attacks only highlights its failure to address the real issues. The suffering teachers, supported by the UK, represent a hope for change and genuine progress, which Zanu PF seems determined to resist at all costs.
