ZIMBABWE’S CURRENCY CRISIS: WHO IS TO BLAME?
Zimbabwe is facing a severe currency crisis. The ruling party, ZANU PF, is mainly blamed for this crisis. Many people in Zimbabwe are suffering because of this issue. They do not have access to basic needs like education and healthcare. The government is not providing these essential services, which are their constitutional rights. Instead, the government is using populism to deceive the people.
In other countries, even those experiencing war like Syria, Yemen, Iraq, and Afghanistan, their currencies still function. But Zimbabwe’s currency is failing. Many people in rural areas think that the crisis is caused by sanctions from the West, especially from Britain and the United States. ZANU PF tells them this to shift the blame away from themselves. They claim these countries are angry because they lost during the Second Chimurenga and now want to change the regime to exploit Zimbabwe’s resources.
This thinking is preventing people from seeing the real problem. The real issue is the corrupt and parasitic politics of ZANU PF. This government wants to create a one-party state to loot the country’s resources without any consequences. They neglect the people’s welfare and violate their constitutional rights. As long as ZANU PF remains in power, the currency will continue to fail, and the suffering of the people will increase.
Zimbabwe needs a government that cares about the people’s welfare. A new, youthful, and innovative opposition is needed to bring positive changes to the country. Only then can the currency issue be resolved, and the people can receive the services they deserve.
In conclusion, the current currency crisis in Zimbabwe is mainly the fault of the ruling party, ZANU PF. They neglect the people and deceive them with false information about the cause of the crisis. To solve this problem, there needs to be a change in leadership to a government that prioritizes the people’s welfare.
